TOMS Opens First New York Store

Those fashionable do-gooders over at TOMS are finally opening a brick and mortar store in New York City, at 264 Elizabeth Street.

Known for their casual summer shoes and their "one for one" program, which offers a pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair sold, TOMS has become one of the go-to brands for conscious fashionistas and fashionistos.

The new store will include a coffee bar (serving the brand's own TOMS Roasting Co. coffee), a book swap shelf to donate and recycle books, an outdoor patio and a fireplace to kick back and relax after getting that new pair of shoes.

A new addition to the TOMS line are their men's handbags which are also launching this week and will be sold in the new store. For every bag sold, TOMS provides a safe birth for a mother and baby in need -- so make this a "one for two" purchase!
