Smart tailoring meets technical sportswear in Perry Ellis's latest capsule collection
For several seasons now, the atheisure trend (dressing down formal staples with more casual, athletic gear) has been ruling designer collections, from Hermes to Versace. The latest brand to jump on board is Perry Ellis with the launch of Perry 360, a capsule collection that combines tailored menswear staples and relaxed, sporty details to help you transition seamlessly from work to weekend.
The 15-piece collection includes suits made in a four-way stretch, water resistant fabric, and tops that use reflective details --something creative director Michael Maccari began toying around with in his debut collection for Perry Ellis. Here, horizontal stripes and polka dots on shirts ($125), or a flashy grid pattern on a windbreaker hoodie ($298) add a stylish, futuristic edge to the collection, sure to make you stand out in the winter night.
