5 Step Itinerary for New Year's in Vegas

Spa

Make the last day the best day.

2016 is finally drawing a close, and - let's face it - some celebration is in order for us all. You may then think to curl up on the couch with your cat and watch Audrey Hepburn movies until midnight. And yes - a cozy time indoors may be well-suited for some. However, we believe you deserve to spend the final day of 2016 with a little bit of vigor. So before setting your new year's goals and looking ahead to the future, we recommend devoting the final hours of 2016 to rejuvenate and celebrate.

Of course, there is no better place for both than in Las Vegas. That's right - Vegas. In a city with salt room therapy and fireworks over the Strip, there is no chance you'll be capping 2016 in blues. Since the Vegas' array of choices can at times be overwhelming, we've mapped out the 5 steps for a healthy and fun routine to ring in 2017.

Step 1: The Morning Workout

It's your last chance to sweat out all those toxins from 2016, so we recommend waking up early and heading straight to the fitness room. With a good cardio workout to start the day, you'll feel fresh and guilt-free for all you may indulge on later. Qua Spa & Baths at Caesars Place offers a state-of-the-art fitness center for all your workout needs. Or if you are feeling a little more zen, practice your Vinyasa at Canyon Ranch Spa Club at The Venetian, which offers yoga sessions on their open outdoor pool deck.

Step 2: The Spa and Groom

The next step is to pamper yourself at the spa because - hey - you've earned it. You may choose to lounge in the private treatment suites in the The Spa at Red Rock by Well & Being, where it feels like you are floating on water - actually! Or you may ward of that New Year's cold at The Salt Cave at The LINQ Spa, featuring an age-old Himalayan practice known to heal respiratory conditions. Either choice can be matched with a classic groom at The Claude Baruk Salon at Encore, because it feels good to look great!

Step 3: Dinner on the Eve

You are now groomed and ready for a top notch New Year's Eve dinner. With the most dramatic view of the Las Vegas Strip and cuisine straight from the French Caribbean islands, Alize at The Palms will have you sweeping off 2016 in delicious and elegant style. Or if you're feeling a little more casual, get a table with some friends at Five 50 at Aria and feast on the best pizza in Vegas.

Step 4: The Toast

Finally comes the pivotal moment of the Eve - the toast. Luckily this year there will be fireworks shot from seven different hotels on the Strip, so it's all the more important to be in the right place at the right time. One of the best spots to watch the fireworks and toast to the New Year is the High Roller Observation Wheel at The LINQ Promenade. The wheel is 550 feet above the Las Vegas strip and offers a 360-degree view of the entire surrounding valley. Skyfall Lounge at Delano Las Vegas also offers a bird's eye view of the Vegas strip. Otherwise, secure a good spot early on the strip and toast to the lights from the ground with some friends!

Step 5: Brunch on the First

2016 is now officially behind you, it's time for the first brunch of the year. Brunch never quite tasted fancier than at Bouchon at The Venetian. Or if you're looking for something a little more laid-back to enjoy a good laugh over last night's craze, kick back at eat Restaurant in Downtown Las Vegas for some killer grilled cheese or classic eggs benedict.

Whichever way you wish to celebrate the end of 2016, you deserve to do so with a positive and healthy spirit. And it's never wrong to end this year of ups and downs in a city so alive as Vegas!
