Yep, you read that right. Bret Easton Ellis' bloody cult book about psychotic 1980s banker Patrick Bateman (made iconic by Christian Bale in the 2000 film adaptation) is headed to the New York stage. After a successful run in London, American Psycho will open on Broadway on Wednesday, April 20, with previews beginning March 24.
The production boasts music and lyrics by Duncan Sheik (one of the creatives behind Spring Awakening), a book by Robert Aguirre-Sacasa (Supergirl, Looking, Glee), direction by Rupert Goold (King Charles III), and choreography by Lynne Page (La Cage Aux Folles). It'll also star Benjamin Walker (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) as the psycho himself. Check out the full cast here.
