Meet 'Drag Race Espana's Host, Supremme de Luxe

Supremme de Luxe host of Drag Race Espana

She is the first solo personality who largely made their name off of drag, to host a version of the show outside of RuPaul.

It is the race that never ends! After announcing the debut season of Drag Race Espana earlier this year -- then we called it Drag Race Spain -- the new franchise has finally tapped its host.

As we all know, RuPaul's Drag Race has been on a path of expansion over its past thirteen years. There's been All Stars and Drag U in the United States as well as expansions like the now-defunct Drag Race Thailand, plus RuPaul's Drag Race U.K., Canada's Drag Race, and Drag Race Holland. Soon, RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under is headed our way as well as Drag Race Espana. But in Spain, in place of Ru comes the Madrid drag veteran Supremme de Luxe.

Luxe joins a growing group of hosts: Canada's Drag Race had no solo host and all three permanent judges -- Brooke Lynn Hytes, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, and Stacey McKenzie -- as co-hosts; Drag Race Thailand had Art-Arya and Pangina Heals; Drag Race Holland had Fred van Leer. And much like Ru, she's made her name in drag, putting on shows and releasing music. Espana will stream on Atres Player Premium in Spain and, as expected, on WOW Presents Plus n the U.S., U.K., and select territories. There will be English, Spanish, and Portuguese subtitles. No air date has been announced.

An Instagram account set up for the show says "full availability, judges and more to be announced soon."

Drag Race Espana will air later this year. It will be joined by Canada's Drag Race season two, Drag Race U.K. series three, All Stars season six, and the debut season of Drag Race Down Under.
