Saturday Night Live returned this weekend after a three-week break and nailed the show's cold open by having Kate McKinnon reprise her Jeff Sessions impersonation.
McKinnon played the attorney general in a nod to the former Alabama senator's roots. The skit showed McKinnon sitting at a bus stop and speaking with fellow travelers, a la the classic movie Forrest Gump.
The skit managed to spoof everything political that happened during the show's break, from the cringe-worthy photo of Kellyanne Conway in the Oval Office to Sessions's reported conversations with Russian officials during the Trump campaign.
But nothing compares to when host Octavia Spencer shows up at the end as her character from The Help, Minnie--to offer Sessions some of her famous pie.
