Executive producer Shonda Rhimes, Falahee, and Ricamora all took to social media denouncing the censored scene.

The scene has Falahee's character, Connor, seducing Ricamora's Oliver for some sensitive emails. When Connor gets what he wants, though, they still wind up back at Oliver's place--and in bed.
The network apologized and aired the full episode following the mistake.
In western Europe, Italy has been among the slowest countries to advance on LGBT rights. The government voted to recognize same-sex civil unions this year--well after other European Members.
