After having sufficiently bludgeoned and buried her Hannah Montana image, Miley Cyrus is going back to television. And this time it ain't Disney.
The 23-year-old singer will star with Woody Allen and Elaine May in Allen's new series for Amazon Prime, a comedy set in the 1960s.
Not much is known about the series, except that it will be six half-hour episodes, but Cyrus was too happy to keep the news to herself and penned this eloquent Instagram post to announce her casting coup:

Watch out, 1960s--you survived social upheaval, multiple assassinations and Woodstock, but can you survive Miley?
Well, you had a good run.
Though, honestly, I'm going to call a Supporting Actress Golden Globe for Ms. Cyrus just because Woody's got a great track record with snatching his SA's trophies. Looking at you, Dianne Wiest.
