Baz Luhrmann's expansive, manic style was always a little too much for film--you just can't cram that much crazy into two hours. Or three, if you're dealing with Australia--which most people did not.
So Luhrmann's move to Netflix should give him the necessary room to stretch out his wild imagination. From the looks of the first trailer from his upcoming series with the streaming giant, The Get Down Sizzle, Baz is luxuriating in his new space.
