MTV has had plenty of fantastical reality TV shows whose authenticity is... questionable at best. But Angel Haze can attest that the show is real, people do this kind of thing and, even after three seasons of Catfish, think they won't get caught. "You don't really think these people are serious, but they are," said Haze. "That was the most fun and funniest part of the experience."
In the episode Schulman and Haze will meet Harold, who has been talking with Armani online for years. They both live in the same neighborhood but have never met. Haze said that sometimes it's difficult not to get emotionally invested in what's happening, especially with how intense some of the past episodes have gotten. "It's kind of harsh, to be honest" she said. "You need to go in with a lot of positivity and hope for the best."
Tonight's episode of Catfish will air at 10 pm ET/PT on MTV, followed by an hour-long special about Schulman and Haze's new show, Truce.
