“Silver linings!”

Let's face it, medals or no the queer Olympians of Team USA are the real MVPs of this winter Olympiad. Adam Rippon has been setting social media alight since before the Games even started and seems to be doing his best to give us golden quotes daily. Now, Gus Kenworthy is getting in on the fun.

After sharing adorable pictures from the opening ceremonies with Rippon and talking about embracing his role as an out athlete on the Olympic stage, Kenworthy dipped into his snarky side to take a dig at Mike Pence yesterday.

The freeskier announced in a tweet that he had broken his thumb during a practice run. "It won't stop me from competing (obvi)," he wrote, "but it does prevent me from shaking Pence's hand so... Silver linings! Will be giving my teammates (and literally everyone else) an enthusiastic 'thumbs up!' of encouragement the rest of this trip."

The qualifying and final rounds for men's slopestyle take place Sunday in Pyeongchang (Saturday night the U.S.).
