Power 50: Jared Polis

Polis is known for being the first member of Congress to take bitcoin donations, and as a top spokesman for marijuana legalization (and taxation). While these distinctions may have painted an unserious picture in the past, his home state's $700 million pot industry has changed the situation mightily. On the House Natural Resources Committee, he'll be an important pro-environment foil to conservative Republicans regarding public lands.
