Power 50: Chad Griffin

There's momentum in the marriage equality movement, which was buoyed when Griffin helped engineer the Prop 8 legal dream team in 2009. As head of the Human Rights Campaign, he has formally apologized to the transgender community for HRC's failures in the past. And HRC's Corporate Equality Index now cites gender identity nondiscrimination policies among 66% of all Fortune 500 companies.
