Adam Rippon’s Skates and Olympic Costume Will be Displayed at the Smithsonian

ADAM RIPPON

You'll be able to see them soon at the National Museum of American History.

Adam Rippon captured our hearts at this past year's Winter Olympics in South Korea. Not only did the handsome twink take home a bronze -- making him the first out gay male U.S. athlete to medal at a Winter Olympics -- he stood up to Pence for his anti-LGBTQ policies. Since his performance at the Winter Games, Rippon has been a visible, vocal, and hilarious LGBTQ advocate.

That's why it's incredibly exciting that his skates and Olympic costume are en route to the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of American History.

After donating his skates and Olympic attire, the 28-year-old sweetheart took to Twitter to write:

"Pretty cool to soon have something on display in the American History Museum. Now, I just need to convince someone that they need to be next to the ruby slippers."
