Kevin Spacey’s New Film “Billionaire Boys Club” Makes $126 at Box Office Opening
Kevin Spacey's newest film, Billionaire Boys Club, made a total of $126 at the U.S. box office on opening night this past weekend.
Not $126,000, not $1,260, but $126.
The movie was only screened at 10 cinemas across the United States, which largely contributed to the film's flop. If we assume the average price of a ticket is $12.60, that would mean one person saw the film in each of the ten theaters.
Last year, multiple sexual assault allegations came forth against the disgraced actor. In a futile and pathetic attempt to divert media attention away from his exploitation of power and predatory attacks on dozens of men (many of whom were minors), the 59 year-old came out as gay.
Billionaires Boy Club was shot more than a year before the first allegations surfaced. In the film, he plays Ron Levin, a con artist who masterminded a Ponzi scheme in 1980s Los Angeles.
