Nicki Minaj's new era has faced a slew of problems -- most recently, the fact that she released a song with a convicted pedophile -- and now she may be forced to delay her upcoming album Queen again thanks to Tracy Chapman.
Minaj tweeted that she has been trying to get in touch with Chapman to clear a sample of one of the artist's songs for a track on her album. In a poll, she asked he fans if they'd rather she cut the track or delay the album.
“Since I may have asked it wrong. 🤭🦄 vote. You guys can only imagine how much this means to me. It’s such a perfect body of work 🎈love you. Long time.”— Nicki Minaj (@Nicki Minaj) 1533094096
Minaj's fans came to her aid, although some were a bit overzealous. Minaj shared a screenshot of one fan sliding into the DMs of a Tracy Chapman fan account offering $2 million for the sample -- not their own money but Minaj's.
