Since Tim Miller, the director of the first Deadpool film, confirmed three years ago that the hilariously foul-mouthed anti-hero is pansexual, the bi+ community has been patiently waiting for Deadpool's pansexuality to be depicted on screen.
If Deadpool was depicted as openly and proudly pansexual in the third Deadpool film, I honestly think the bi+ community would have a collective heart attack. We'd be so overjoyed, words would not even be able to express how excited we would be if Wade Wilson -- dare I say it -- even had a boyfriend. (Or a poly triad because I can definitely see Deadpool being polyamorous too.)
Well at San Diego Comic Con this past weekend, Ryan Reynolds, who plays the flexible mercenary, said, "I certainly think that this universe needs to represent and reflect the world in very real ways. The great thing about Deadpool is that we're allowed to do things that other superhero movies don't necessarily do."
Without delving into specifics, he said he would like to see the diversity of his own character's sexual identity depicted on screen.
"It's something that I'd love to see more of, certainly through Wade, certainly through this universe."
