Perfume Genius took the Late Show with Stephen Colbert stage this weekend to perform his current single, "Slip Away," off the newly released album, No Shape.
Mike Hadreas, the artist behind the moniker, brought some much-needed queerness to late night television, dressed in our favorite rising designer, Palomo Spain, with full makeup and a diamond earpiece. He thrashed, scrunched his face and wailed, giving a jolt of electric hope to all the queers out there wondering why they haven't seen someone like themselves on mainstream TV.

This summer, Hadreas will embark on a headline tour with fellow OUT100 honoree serpentwithfeet. Perfume Genius' fourth studio album, No Shape, which premiered Friday, has already gifted us with strong singles, such as "Go Ahead," as well as the incredible "Slip Away" music video.
