Our favorite East German genderqueer singer is headed around the country.
Darren Criss must miss the golden tresses he had to leave behind after his three-month stint as the lead in Hedwig and the Angry Inch last year on Broadway. The singer and Glee alum will reprise his role as the irreverent Easter German singer later this year when the production kicks off its national tour. According to the New York Times, Criss will open the tour in his hometown of San Francisco in October and stay with it through its residence in Hollywood.
Criss was one of many to play the queer rocker during the show's successful Broadway run, in the company of Neil Patrick Harris, Andrew Rannells, Michael C. Hall, and Taye Diggs. Casting for the rest of the show's national tour has yet to be announced.
