Kate McKinnon served some '50s lesbian housewife realness in her parody of Cate Blanchett's performance in Carol. The skit was for this year's Film Independent Spirit Awards, cohosted by McKinnon and Kumail Nanjiani, who plays a waiter with boundary issues alongside McKinnon's Carol.
McKinnon is her usual hilarious self, working the art of seduction on a naive (and superimposed) Rooney Mara. McKinnon is joined by fellow funny lesbians, Wanda Sykes and Jane Lynch.
