Pee-wee Herman always skewed a little queer -- never more so than in his 1988 Christmas special, featuring Cher, Joan Rivers, k.d. lang, Grace Jones, Little Richard, and (why not?) Charo. But the zany man-child has outdone himself with Netflix's Pee-wee's Big Holiday, his first feature in 28 years. Pee-wee now lives in sleepy Fairville, happily working as a diner cook. That is until True Blood stud Joe Manganiello (playing himself) struts into his life and sucks down Pee-wee's chocolate milkshake. "You have a choice, Pee-wee," he says before peeling off on his motorcycle. "Stick around here or live a little." Soon our smitten hero is on a road trip to his new BFF's birthday bash in the Big Apple. En route, he's bound and gagged by butch lady bank robbers, ogles beefy stripper cops, and dreams of him and Manganiello jousting amid fireworks in matching Pee-wee suits. By the time they finally reunite and snuggle up in a tiny kids' clubhouse, the sexual tension is so mecca-lecca high, it's enough to make even Large Marge blush.
