The country music queen Dolly Parton made her first appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Monday night to promote her album, Pure and Simple, and talked about the drag queens that dress up as her.
"There's a lot of people that dress up like you and come to the concert. Is that weird to look out into the audience?" Kimmel said.
"It's fun!" Parton replied. "I'm used to it; I have a huge gay following and I'm proud of it. I see so many drag queens out there--I see so many girls that look more like me than I do. So when I see them, instead of 'Jolene' I do 'Drag queen, drag queen, drag queen, I'm beggin' of you, don't take my man.'"
Parton also admitted that for drag queens, she must be easy to imitate. "Just a stuffed bra and a cheap wig," she said. "That's how I've done it all these years!"
The 70-year-old songstress later took the stage to perform "Outside Your Door." Pure and Simple, which debuted at No. 1 on the country music charts, is available now.

Opinion: "I have no problem with lip syncing, but you'd think the side that hates drag queens so much would have a little more shame about it," writes Ryan Adamczeski.
