Tina Fey, Amy Poehler Throw One Last Rager in Sisters
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have established themselves as America's preeminent comedic duo. The double act has hosted "The Weekend Update" and the Golden Globes, starred in Baby Mama and Mean Girls, and have demonstrated to us all what a paradigm of female friendship looks. And come Christmas, the comedy duo -- the equivalent of a one-two punch -- are set to tear it up in Sisters.
Directed by Jason Moore, who also directed Pitch Perfect (another fantastic female-driven comedy), Sisters has Fey and Poehler as siblings returning to their childhood home to throw one last bash before saying goodbye to the place. With appearances from SNL crew past and present -- such as Maya Rudolph and Bobby Moynihan -- and a few wardrobe malfunctions thrown in for good measure, Sisters is looking like it'll be the break out comedy of the holiday season.
The pair debuted the trailer last night during The Tonight Show, where we also learned about that one time Tina Fey was mistaken for a prostitute in Monaco.
Sisters is in theaters December 18. Watch the trailer below:
