Elizabeth Berkley Went to a Showgirls Screening and Got Her LIFE

It's been 20 years since perhaps the greatest worst movie of all time hip-thrust its way into our hearts. Initially derided and ridiculed for its over-the-top, batshit craziness, Showgirls has become a cult classic for those very reasons. Now that she's married to a millionaire and is aging in reverse -- having effectively won life -- Elizabeth Berkley (Lauren) has reclaimed the movie that effectively killed her career.

For a 20th anniversary screening of Showgirls at the Hollywood Forever Cemetary on Saturday, Liz floated down from whatever cryogenic chamber she's been hiding in when not owning Dancing with the Starsand greeted a crowd of 4,000 Nomi Malone fans.

Jesse Spano was sure to note that this was a night not only to celebrate the shadiest stunts in modern cinema --

-- but also nationwide marriage equality.

"I wanna just start this incredible night off by just acknowledging what a celebration tonight is on the heels of such a monumental, incredible win last night," Berkley said. "Love wins!"

The 42-year-old (yas, honey) was truly happy to be at the screening, calling it a "magical full circle moment" before inspiring the audience with the film's ultimately uplifting message.

An invitation to throw on a thigh-high boot, a high ponytail and a bold red lip just to kick the shit out of someone/anyone?

Sold.
