The cult movie that launched a thousand careers is coming to Netflix this summer as the prequel series Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp. Everyone's back and 14 years older but ingeniously playing slightly younger versions of themselves -- including Amy Poehler, Bradley Cooper, Paul Rudd and Elizabeth Banks.
"The movie took place on the last day of camp in the summer of 1981. The show takes place on the first day," co-creator David Wain explained. "For us, the original movie was about the notion of finishing unfinished business. That idea that you have one day to do all the things you wish you'd done but were too afraid. The series is about establishing your identity."

So I guess that means we can see the roots of Cooper's and Michael Ian Black's characters' relationship, which made for one of the sexiest -- and silliest -- gay sex scenes in cinema history. And by the looks of the hilarious trailer masquerading as an even more hilarious Betamax video, those roots are getting planted.
