Unless you're a comic fan, you probably didn't know much about Dr. Strange until you heard that Benedict Cumberbatch was cast to play him. Although the film hasn't officially entered production yet, The Hollywood Reporter reports that Tilda Swinton is in talks to play The Ancient One, the Tibetan mystic who mentors Dr. Strange in magic and teaches him everything he knows.
And here's the twist: Ever since Dr. Strange's inception, The Ancient One has been portrayed as a graying old man. No matter what the studio wants to do with the role --be it gender-swapping, androgyny, or prosthetics-- we're confident Swinton will do a commendable job, as usual.
