2. Earlier this week, lawmakers in Slovenia's parliament overwhelming voted to approve same-sex marriage and gay adoption rights. The move makes Slovakia the 11th nation in the EU, the 21st in the world, and the first former communist country to extend marriage equality to its citizens. [ABC News]

3. The Supreme Court of the United States has announced that it will hear marriage equality arguments on April 28, in anticipation for a late spring or early summer verdict. [Huffington Post]

Speaking of SCOTUS and marriage equality, HuffPost-Gay Voices has published a list of 379 corporations and employer organizations who have signed on to a friend-of-the-court brief urging that all marriage bans be deemed unconstitutional.
