Devonté Hynes (a.k.a. Blood Orange, a.k.a our 2014 March cover star) took to twitter to address his sexuality.
“Someone just sent me a bunch of blog posts on tumblr dissecting/discussing my sexuality/views based on interviews & it’s so dark,” he began. “I don’t really do many interviews, and I try to be very honest about everything in my life if needs be.”
“It’s like when I was on the cover of OUT Magazine,” continued the man responsible for the smash hit, Cupid Deluxe LP. “Everybody was mad because i’m not ‘gay’. But I’m not ‘straight’ & have never claimed to be. They ignored I was 1 of few black males to be on the cover. I’ll probably delete all this, I never usually read this shit, it just saddens me really.”
We’ve got Dev’s tweets below, thanks to Idolator.
