"I'm out there. I'm living. I mean, it's a mess. Everything's blowing up."
In what has seemed like an agonizing wait, and just in time for Thanksgiving when we'll all be surrounded by our own crazy families, Amazon has premiered a full-length trailer for the second season of Transparent.
While the teaser of Sarah and Tammy's nuptials was hilarious and all, now we have a better understanding of where this trailblazing show will head in its sophomore year. As mentioned, Sarah and Tammy are getting hitched, Josh juggles a relationship and fatherhood, and Maura debates whether or not she intends on undergoing gender reassigment surgery.
When Transparent debuted last September, it placed Amazon on the map in terms of oringinal Internet programming, it collected two Golden Globes (including Best Comedy Series, and five Emmys, including Best Actor in a Comedy Series), and put a trans woman front and center as the protagonst of a series, something prevously unheard of.
There is no dysfunctional family we would rather spend time with than the Pfeffermans, and on December 11 we intend to do just that.
