Amber Glenn is having one unforgettable year! In early 2026, the figure skater won her third consecutive U.S. championship and helped Team USA capture Olympic gold. Yet for Glenn, her proudest achievement isn’t one that comes with a medal.

“I am most proud of speaking up for what I believe in, for those whose voices are not as easily heard, and being unapologetically myself while doing so,” she says.

For Glenn, skating has always meant more than competition. The pansexual athlete sees her platform as a way to advocate for LGBTQ+ people and mental health. Both on and off the rink, she wants to “create safe places for people to be themselves and feel seen.” At the Olympics, that confidence helped carry Glenn through a difficult opening performance and the online ridicule and threats that followed. “What helped me overcome it was knowing myself,” she says. “I know my heart, my intentions, and my capabilities.”

Now, with Dancing With the Stars offering a new challenge, Glenn is finding more ways to bring visibility to her communities while proudly embracing the things that bring her joy: anime, Star Wars, Magic: The Gathering, and spending time with her dog, Uki.

Her message to others? “You deserve to be yourself fully. You deserve to take up space. You deserve to pursue your dreams.” @amberglenniceskater
