For nearly 15 years, Marc Solomon, the author of 2014's Winning Marriage, has been on the front lines of America's marriage equality battle. After helping secure the 2004 victory in Massachusetts, he joined Freedom to Marry in 2010 as its national campaign director, developing a nationwide strategy. Now the long fight has been won. "The notion that LGBT kids growing up in every part of this country will see that their love and relationships are treated equally by our government is so profoundly moving to me," Solomon says. "It is such a powerful difference-maker for our community."
