Out100: Adam Joseph

Meteorologist Adam Joseph made Philadelphia history in August 2014, when he became the city's first major on-air news personality to come out publicly. But the subsequent 15 months are what have proved truly groundbreaking for Joseph, as he and his partner, Karl, have watched their son, Jacob, grow and thrive. It's something Joseph, a fitness buff who works for Philly's ABC affiliate, relates to the many marathons he's run. "At the finish line, I felt like I'd accomplished something worth the fight," he says. "Post-baby, I feel indestructible." Joseph says his colleagues and fans have embraced his family as they would any other; however, he isn't above a touch of stereotypical-gay humor. Where was he when the Supreme Court's ruling for marriage equality was announced? Quips Joseph, "At the gym, of course."
