Exclusive: Damian Terriquez and Luke Lowrey share wedding photos

Actor Damian Terriquez and their husband, Luke Lowrey, were married last month in Puebla, Mexico, on January 24, and the happy couple is now exclusively sharing their wedding photos with Out.

Terriquez and Lowrey tied the knot at Quinta Real Puebla in a ceremony, planned by Pamela Cano, to be a celebration of Mexico. Ildefonso Gutiérrez was the photographer.

For the ceremony, Terriquez wore a dress by Milla Nova 'Virgo' and a custom French Chantilly lace blouse and veil, with shoes by Gianvito Rossi. Lowrey wore a custom Jorge Tello Mariachi outfit with YSL boots.

Terriquez, known for playing the club performer Dizmal in Miss Benny's Netflix series Glamorous, is an actor, dancer, and advocate who also worked on Kamala Harris's presidential campaign. Lowrey is an actor and comedian who has appeared on Broadway and in TV series such as American Horror Story and RZR.

The planning process, while tiring at times, was always centered on the experience we wanted our guests to have. We wanted to welcome our friends and family into our own little world — one shaped by our love for each other, our love of the city, and the traditions Damian grew up with. From mariachi music filling the courtyard during cocktail hour to a surprise Banda performance opening the dance floor with “El Sinaloense,” the wedding wasn’t just held in Mexico—it was an embodiment of it.

More than anything, it was about showing that sometimes — if you’re really lucky — you find someone who fits into your life so completely that you never want to let them go.

On a more personal note, it felt incredibly meaningful to share such an idealized version of a happy ending, especially within a community where people are often made to feel their lives won’t culminate in traditional milestones. While our chosen families have always been present and supportive, it was especially powerful to be surrounded by relatives who, on paper, might take issue with a celebration like this. From nearly 90-year-old great aunts to 3-year-old nephews, from ultra-religious Mexican Catholics to liberal entertainment friends, we were held by people who love us just as deeply as we love each other.

Marriage isn’t for everyone — but for those who want it, we hope we’ve shown that you can have it all.
