His Tony-nominated Other Desert Cities marked the playwright's Broadway debut when it premiered in 2011. A portrait of a dysfunctional wealthy family with widely different political views reunited at a Christmas Eve in Palm Springs, the play went on to be a finalist for the 2012 Pulitizer Prize.
