“I’m not going to get into what the president may or may not have seen.”

It was the segment that brought 60 Minutes its highest viewership in a decade and many are hoping is the beginning of the end for Donald Trump, but the White House won't even say whether or not Trump watched Anderson Cooper's interview with adult film actor Stormy Daniels.

Though clips of last night's show have been impossible to avoid, even on Trump's favored FOX News, during the White House press briefing today deputy press secretary Raj Shah was tossed question after question about the claims Daniels made.

"With respect to that interview, the president strongly, clearly and has consistently denied these underlying claims, and the only person who's been inconsistent is the one making the claims," Shah said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Daniels said that she and Trump had a consensual sexual encounter in 2006 and said that she was later threatened to keep quiet. Though Trump has vehemently denied the accusations, Shah wouldn't say whether or not he had seen the interview. "I'm not going to get into what the president may or may not have seen," he said.

Daniels has since been served with a cease and desist letter from Trump's legal team, which is a different kind of treatment than she received in 2016 when she was paid $130,000 by Trump lawyer Michael Cohen for her silence during the election cycle.
