Conspiracy Theorist Who Claims to Have Had Sex with Obama is Running for Florida City Mayor

One of the most truly bizarre mayoral races is happening in a Cocoa Florida, a suburban town of roughly 18,500 people. Larry Sinclair, who has been convicted of forgery, fraud and larceny is running for office. But that's not what makes the race so strange; he also affirms that he has had sex with President Obama.

In fact, he self-published a book in 2009 titled Barack Obama & Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, Sex, Lies & Murder? (You have to love the question mark.) In the book, Sinclair claims that Obama killed his former male lover.

"I don't need to say anything more," Sinclair told Florida Today last week. "My book speaks for itself, and I do not backtrack anything that I said at that press conference."

Sinclair is running against two African American candidates, Clarence Whipple Jr. and Jake Williams Jr., who have vast experience serving on city council. Still, there is a large possibility that Sinclair will win. He has raised and spent significantly more money than the two other candidates.

Sinclair has raised $17,734 and spent $17,198, most of it his own money, whereas Whipple has raised $4,625 and spent $1,762 and Williams has raised $4,105 and spent $2,866.
