Surprise, surprise.

Here's a real shocker: the top ten highest-paid actresses in Hollywood are all white, according to Forbes.

This comes in the same year Viola Davis wins the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress and Girls Trip becomes one of the top-grossing films of 2017, earning almost $99 million so far domestically. Oh, and let's not forget that Moonlight just won Best Picture.

Hollywood seems to be quite the stubborn mule in terms of stepping forward: a white man just was hired as the new President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. John Bailey, who's been on the Academy board 14 years and a cinematographer for over half a century, at least had good things to say to the LA Timeson diversity:

"I'm very committed to it. Clearly the academy is too. Diversity has always been important to me in my career. I could give you chapter and verse in how long I've been hiring minorities and women on my camera crews and grip and electrical. This is crucial!"

Here's the full list of top earners, published by Forbes:

1. Emma Stone--$26 million
2. Jennifer Aniston--$25.5 million
3. Jennifer Lawrence--$24 million
4. Melissa McCarthy--$18 million
5. Mila Kunis--$15.5 million
6. Emma Watson--$14 million
7. Charlize Theron--$14 million
8. Cate Blanchett--$12 million
9. Julia Roberts--$12 million
10. Amy Adams--$11.5 million
