Transphobic Touring Bus Gets Vandalized on NYC Stop
It only took one day for New Yorkers to express how they feel about a giant orange bus emblazoned with anti-trans rhetoric rolling into their city.
On Wednesday, the "Free Speech Bus" pulled up outside of the United Nations headquarters, where ambassadors have gathered to discuss a sex education resolution. The bus, the second biggest orange eyesore in the country, is emblazoned with two stick figures, the "female" one sporting pigtails and the letters XX, and the phrase: "It's biology: Boys are boys... and always will be. Girls are girls... and always will be. You can't change sex. Respect all."

"Boys are boys and girls are girls--it's very simple," Brian Brown, president of the National Organization for Marriage told USA Today. "We don't want men in girl's restrooms. We don't want schools and our law attempting to say that people are bigoted simply because they understand that there's a difference between male and female."
On Thursday the bus was keyed, had its windows cracked with hammers, and had slogans like "Trans Liberation" spray painted onto it, letting the National Organization for Marriage know exactly how people in one of the country's most accepting cities feel about tacky publicity stunts.
