Two men became the first same-sex couple to marry in Colombia Tuesday.
Fernando Quimbayo and Jose Ticora married at a city registrar in Cali after being in a relationship for two years, according to El Pais. The site also published a video of the ceremony, which can be found below.
The ruling recognizing same-sex marriages took place last month after years of legal battles within the Catholic state. Colombia became the fourth nation in Latin America to legalize same-sex marriage, following the lead of Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, and Mexico.
