Yale University will roll out a few new policies welcoming transgender students and family for the spring graduation ceremonies.

The Ivy League school in New Haven, Connecticut, posted a map of gender-neutral bathrooms in 23 buildings across campus.

Yale also changed a longstanding diploma policy for this commencement. Instead of requiring a student's birth name, Yale diplomas will display the chosen name for transgender students.

The policy changes are the work of the Yale office of LGBTQ Resources, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
