Vice Goes One-on-One With Former Ex-Gay Leaders

Conversion

Watch part two of the gay conversion therapy exposé includes Oregon's Gay Christian Networking Conference

Yesterday, Vice released the first part of their three-part documentary on gay conversion therapy, a practice which claims to "cure" gay people of their homosexuality.

For part one of Profiles by VICE's doc, Vice sent their cameras inside an ex-gay retreat. For part two, Vice heads to Oregon's Gay Christian Networking Conference to talk with former leaders of the Ex-Gay Movement.

They interview John Smid, the former director of Love In Action, who now embraces his homosexuality and renounced the entire ex-gay ideology. Vice also meets Sam Brinton, a conversion therapy survivor, who opens up about the physical torture he endured while undergoing during "treatment."

Watch Part Two below and if you need to catch up, you can watch part one here.

Warning: This segment can be a little hard to watch due to language, message, and images.
