UPDATE (1/28/2021): Well they are here!

After a limited release over the past month, Lady Gaga's Chromatica-themed Oreos are now hitting all shelves where Oreos are available today. The cokies will only be available while supplies last. Previously, they only came in six-cookie packs while now they will be full-sized 24-cookie packages. To celebrate, Gaga has launched a scavenger hunt on Twitter where 50 fans can win a special autographed pink pack.

The competition lasts for 24-hours and starts Thursday at 10 a.m. EST. The initial clues, which are all inspired by the album, can be found on Oreo's Twitter account. They will lead fans to various twitter accounts where they have to find specific tweets and reply with #ChromaticaCookieHunt, #sweepstakes and tag @Oreo. Each tweet is an entry, and fans can get up to six entries. Gaga will also be involved in dropping one of the clues.

ORIGINAL (12/02/2020): The ongoing pandemic has brought us a lot of things we never really anticipated. Part of that has been celebrities and brands conceptualizing new ways of getting folks excited about various projects while in the relative comfort of their own homes. With many Americans spending more time socially distanced than say in a car where they might pass a billboard or at a club where they could hear a song on repeat, keeping the chatter going requires a different approach. Especially when it comes to music.

Lady Gaga has always had some really amazing plans for her Chromatica era. There were the Chromatica jockstraps and thongs -- which ended up still being able to happen -- as well as a cancelled surprise Coachella performance. Gaga even tried to keep up the element of surprise and adapt to the times by planning a drive-in performance but in the end had to cancel. But, she's clearly still trying to figure out how to make some special moments. The latest: one you can eat.

"LADY GAGA X Oreo X Chromatica," she wrote to Twitter today. "Dropping soon!"

The tweet included a video clip of the performer holding a full pack of Chromatica branded Oreo cookies -- not just a sleeve, an entire tray. The cookies inside have the era's trademark colors of pink and green.

"This collab is inspired by the world of Chromatica, where kindness rules all things," Lady Gaga said in a statement. "I love these pink cookies with green creme, and hope they brighten your day as much as they do mine!" Beginning in January, fans can buy six-cookie sleeves of the collaboration in select convenience stores for a limited-time while supplies lasts. For those who can't wait, they can sign up for the Lady Gaga x Oreo Stan Club starting today. Those fans will to be notified when the cookies officially drop. The first 1,000 subscribers will receive a complimentary pack of Lady Gaga Themed OREO cookies, when it becomes available. The site will be live this afternoon.

Earlier this year, Oreo did a limited run of Pride sleeves. The cookies inside each sleeve featured rainbow colored cream. Those were not available for purchase but were instead a part of a social media giveaway. That effort came as part of collaboration with PFLAG and also included a short film. This new partnership with Gaga also sees the company becoming a sponsor of the performer's Born This Way Foundation in 2021.
