The New Jonas Brothers Video Is a Straight Version of 'The Favourite'

Olivia Colman, I’m so sorry.

When the Jonas Brothers announced their return to the pop landscape on Thursday, I wasn't overly enthused, although I did appreciate how hot Joe Jonas looked in the art for their comeback single, "Sucker." (Joe is the hottest Jonas and if you disagree, you are welcome to stop reading this article because the take is only getting hotter from here!)

I was a bit too old to really engage with Jonas-mania during its peak -- I've never even seen Camp Rock! Yet, I was still intrigued by the prospect of a Jonas Brothers reunion and their new video, however ill-timed it may have been. I mean, seriously: Whoho thought it was a good idea for the single to drop Friday at midnight, the same moment Solange Knowles ushered us from Black History Month to Women's Herstory Month with her flawless album, When I Get Home?

Regardless, I caught a clip of the music video on YouTube and had to watch.

The video for "Sucker" takes place in a sprawling Edwardian estate and features each of the brothers' significant others. Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner (Joe's girlfriend), Bollywood-turned-Hollywood legend Priyanka Chopra (Nick's new wife), and Danielle TK (Kevin's wife)spend the video posing in a series of gag-worthy couture looks and tormenting their husbands, sometimes literally. (I never knew I needed to see Joe Jonas bound and suspended in rope, but I have now, and I'm not ok!)

But don't be suckered in by the looks, because there's something insidious happening in "Sucker." In an early scene, the three women watch the brothers rock out for them with a gaggle of bunnies at their feet. Later, Sophie Turner cries while scarfing down cake. Sound familiar?

Yes, ladies: "Sucker" has taken the key elements of The Favourite and made it straight. The Jonas Brothers took an Oscar-winning drama about a devious lesbian love triangle and straightwashed it. Will the cultural theft never end?I'm calling the FBI, and so should you.

Academy Award winner Olivia Colman, I'm so sorry. You deserved better. This is notgay rights. However will Joe Jonas personally repay me for his trespasses?
