This Cher and Madonna ‘Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!’ Mashup is the Gay Summer Bop of 2018
People marveled at how quickly the artist was able to release the mashup.
Late into the summer, we finally have the gay summer bop that we've been so desperately craving. A Toronto-based artist, Alex Simpson, created the perfect mix of Cher singing "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)" and Madonna's "Hung Up" from 2005, which samples the ABBA classic. Surprisingly, the two icons have never actually sung together before.

"Gimme! Gimme! Gimee!" is the first single from Cher's upcoming ABBA covers album, Dancing Queen, out September 28. She released the single on August 9. Less than 24 hours, Alex had released the mashup.
Some folks took to Twitter to note how quickly the mashup was produced.
