Shamir Surprise Drops New Album 'Resolution'

Shamir has surprise dropped a new full-length album, Resolution, as well as a two-track EP called Room.

The new album continues to prove the consistent evolution of Shamir's sound--his latest record is lyrically political and sounds more like a grunge rock Weezer album than his previous work, which was at times sugary pop and others soft and mournful.

Shamir's last album came out in just November, and was titled Revelations. Before that, there was April's Hope, also released without any notice.

The artist will release a new "7 vinyl record with Mac DeMarco on April 21, for National Record Store Day.
