Caroline Rose's 'Soul No. 5' Video is the Vibrant Coney Island Escape We Needed

Caroline Rose

She describes it as "a mix between a '90s rap video and Napoleon Dynamite."

It's okay to be a loner, really. Despite that nagging sense of "FOMO" you may feel as you scroll through your Instagram feed and see all the parties you're missing, sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself is light a candle or catch up on Netflix.

Well, that, or you can take a cue from singer Caroline Rose's book and head to Coney Island for a day full of dancing, singing, and bike rides. The singer debuted her latest track from the upcoming LONER album and "Soul No. 5" is a burst of unbridled joy. In the visually creative new video, Rose came up with "a mix between a '90s rap video and Napoleon Dynamite" for a vibrant boardwalk escape.

Despite the song coming about as a reaction to machismo catcalling, she injected the video with a heavy dose of humor and brought her friends along for the ride. Check it out below.
