Listen to Jay Boogie's Queer As Hell Remix of 'Rockstar'

Boogie dubs over the original lyrics with self-empowering, inclusive and proud rhetoric.

Queer Brooklyn rapper Jay Boogie has released a remix to the chart-topping "Rockstar" by Post Malone and 21 Savage, dubbing over the original lyrics with self-empowering, inclusive and proud rhetoric.

"All your insecurities you could leave that shit in 2017," Boogie purrs as the song's signature gloomy synths begin. Rewriting the heteronormative verses of the single--which, incidentally, has spent 15 consecutive weeks in the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 1--Boogie instead employs phrases like, "If I don't like the way you penetrate then you know I'm gonna top ya."

"Rockstar Remix" follows in the wake of Boogie's summer mixtape, Jesus Loves Me Too, which produced nine fire tracks drawing influence from Church and Ballroom communities.
