Bringing her Jamaican roots to underground Brooklyn, Tygapaw has a reputation for creating safe queer spaces through her monthly club night, Fake Accent, which highlights LGBTQ artists of color. The DJ, producer and event curator prioritizes championing the diverse sounds of marginalized cultures for an audience that's equally pushed to the fringes, using music as her vehicle for staking ground.
