Angel Haze to Release New Music Later This Month

Angel Haze

Rapper Angel Haze has been relatively quiet since releasing her second studio album, Back to the Woods, in 2015—a follow-up to 2013's major label breakout Dirty Gold. Her menacing comeback single, "Resurrection," suggested new material in the works and now we have an ambiguous release date from the pansexual, non-binary emcee: July 17.

The OUT100 alumnus' music has historically tackled charged topics from sexual abuse to religion, so it's likely her forthcoming work will do the same—especially considering it's being released in a culture riddled with incredible unrest. On "Resurrection," Haze spits with an unforgiving flow and open heart: "2016, the year I rise/ Like the phoenix, yeah man, my shit on fire."

If 2016 saw Haze "rise like the phoenix," we're eager to see what 2017 brings. Revisit "Resurrection," below.
