"You gotta gimme just a little of your love, baby," the girls repeat above a bouncy array of arena-sized drums, sunny guitars and bright piano melodies. The track was originally penned as a "homework assignment" for Amy Schumer's movie, Trainwreck, according to Rolling Stone. After writing "hundreds of songs," they landed on an effortlessly magical tune by focusing within a one-week deadline.
Previously released songs off Something to Tell You include "Want You Back" and "Right Now," both of which bring back the best of HAIM's breakout LP Days Are Gone, while elevating the sound with matured narratives about their experiences with love lost. "Said we were opposite lovers," HAIM reminisces on "Want You Back," while "Right Now" questions, "Why'd you leave, left me in the dust?"
